Prenatal care

If you're pregnant and in need of an OB/GYN in Denver, our providers will guide and educate you through each trimester. We offer high-quality obstetric care by building a relationship based on mutual trust and medical expertise.

We would like to see you for your first prenatal visit around the seventh or eighth week of pregnancy, calculated from the first day of your last menstrual period or five to six weeks since conception. Please call sooner if you have a known history of ectopic pregnancy.

Postpartum care

Taking care of yourself after your baby is born is very important. Our OB/GYNs can help you during this "fourth trimester" by guiding you through the ways your body changes post-pregnancy. We can also help you manage pain and provide emotional support through postpartum depression screenings.

  • Alleviating pain postpartum
  • Breastfeeding
  • Constipation
  • Emotional changes vs. postpartum mood disorders
  • Episiotomy and laceration care
  • Exercise and activity after delivery
  • Hemorrhoids
  • Prenatal vitamins, supplements and birth control
  • Pelvic rest and postpartum intercourse
  • Uterine cramping
  • Vaginal bleeding and discharge

We also recommend a follow-up exam six weeks after giving birth. At this appointment, we can monitor how your body is healing and address any symptoms or conditions concerning you.

In-office and surgical procedures

We offer patients a wide range of in-office and hospital-based procedures to alleviate a variety of gynecologic concerns.

In-office procedures

Women today have more options than ever before to resolve their most personal health concerns. We are pleased to offer a number of the latest and safest in-office gynecological and surgical procedures using state-of-the-art technology.

Uterine ablation for heavy menstrual periods

We offer a minimally invasive in-office procedure for women who suffer from heavy menstrual periods to minimize bleeding. Unlike a hysterectomy, a uterine (endometrial) ablation preserves the uterus and does not require incisions. The procedure involves applying heat to treat the uterus lining.

A quick 15-minute procedure, uterine ablation requires no hospital stay and fast recovery, with most women returning to their regular routine the very next day. It is not safe to ever become pregnant after this procedure. Therefore, this procedure is for women who are willing to use continuous or permanent birth control.

Three-year implantable contraceptive

For women looking for extended birth control, we offer implantable contraceptives. It is an in-office procedure in which a small, implantable contraceptive is placed under the skin of the upper arm. The contraceptive contains a form of progesterone that works as birth control by stopping the release of the egg from the ovary and helping to stop the sperm from reaching the egg. It can last up to three years and can be removed at any time if you choose to become pregnant.

Surgical procedures

Our physicians may need to perform certain procedures at our affiliated hospitals. These procedures can include:

  • Abdominal hysterectomy
  • Diagnostic laparoscopy
  • Dilation and curettage
  • Hysteroscopy (in-office procedure option)
  • Laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy
  • Laparoscopic tubal ligation
  • Ovarian cyst treatment/removal
  • Minimally invasive surgery
  • Uterine ablation (in-office procedure option)
  • Vaginal hysterectomy
