Where’s Your Back Pain?

The spine is divided into four sections. From the neck to the buttocks, these sections are called cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacrum. The location of your pain and detailed imaging scans are used to help determine your back pain causes. Often, you will hear your medical team assign a letter and number to the location of your spine injury or damage. C6 spinal cord injury is in the cervical spine. T4 spinal cord injury is in the thoracic spine.
